چکیده
Introduction: Suprapatellar (SP)-nailing versus infrapatellar (IP)-nailing for distal shaft tibia fractures and post-operative complications like anterior knee pain sequelae such as malalignment, retropatellar chondropathy infection, well physical functioning quality of life were the primary objectives this study. Methods: Department Orthopaedics is conducting a study on topic. Group A (16 cases) underwent Supra Patellar Nail Fixation, while B (14 Infra Fixation in 30 patients with Distal Shaft Tibia Fractures. Results: Analyses patient performed. Anterior occurred 25% after SPN 35% IPN, 5% malalignment rate following IPN. Complications infection retro patellar not significantly different between two groups, neither was functionality or postoperative life. Conclusions: Patients who (group A) had much lower rates than those IPN B), according to study. In terms rates, functioning, overall health, found no significant difference. The surgeon's expertise should play major role determining best course action.

Functional Knee Outcomes in Suprapatellar and Infrapatellar Tibial Nailing: Does Approach Matter?
Introduction With an incidence of 75,000 per year in the United States alone, fractures of the tibial shaft are among the most common long bone fractures. Techniques using a semi-extended suprapatellar approach can facilitate intraoperative imaging, allow easier access to starting site position and counter deforming forces. While outcomes following traditional infrapatellar nailing have been we...

Background: To compare the union times of the uncomplicated tibial shaft fractures, which were distally locked by twocoronal and one sagittal screws and by only two coronal screws. Methods: 45 patients with tibial shaft treated with intramedullary nailing included in this study. 23 of 45 fractureswere treated with uniplanar two distal interlocking (Group 1) and 22 fractures were treated with bip...

Abstract Background: Fractures of the tibia are important for their commonness and controversy in their management. Both conservative and surgical techniques have been introduced in an effort to speed time to :::union::: while minimizing the occurrence of complications. Standard treatment for low-energy tibial shaft fractures includes closed reduction and cast immobilization. The purpose of...
متن کاملA Prospective Comparative Study of Reamed vs. Unreamed Nailing in Fractures Shaft of Tibia.
ABSTRACT BACKGROUND Although the tibia is one of the most commonly fractured long bones in the body, there are two accepted management techniques: reamed and unreamed nailing. There is not a general consensus as to which technique is more advantageous to the patient. PATIENTS AND METHODS This was a single centre prospective randomized trial of 38 adults with a tibial shaft fracture who wer...
